The SpeedCam app

SpeedCam uses your camera, microphone, location, and photo library to record video with your speed and route on screen. Everything stays on your device.

• Camera and microphone are used to record your video and sound.
• Location is used to calculate speed, distance, and your route, and to draw the map.
• Photos access lets the app save finished clips to your photo library.
• Maps: the map view uses Apple Maps, which may receive map tile requests under Apple's privacy policy.

The app does not create an account, does not send your videos, trips, or location to me or any server, and does not include advertising or analytics trackers. Videos and trip files are stored in the app's folder on your phone, and you can delete them at any time in the app.

This website

This site doesn't use accounts or cookies for tracking. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address as part of serving the font files. If I add analytics or ads later, I'll update this page first.

Pages here link to other sites, including retailers and video platforms. Their privacy practices are their own.

Children

This site and app are not directed at children under 13.

Changes
